Our live lobsters are pulled from the Eastern waters of the USA and shipped live to your door. The sweet, tender meat is delectable and desired by many. Steamed lobster is most commonly served with butter and used in a variety of seafood dishes and bisque.
How to Steam Lobster: Add about 2 inches of water to a large pot with two tablespoons of salt (sea salt is better). Bring to a boil, and add lobsters. Cover the pot. As soon as the water returns to a boil, start your timer. General rule-of-thumb is to steam for about 8 minutes per lb. for the initial lb. You then add about three mins. per lb. thereafter. Approx. cooking times: 1-1/4 lbs. 7-8 minutes | 1-1/2 lb. 8-10 minutes | 2 lbs. 11-12 minutes | 2-1/2-3 lb. 12-14 minutes | 5 lb. 20-22 minutes
